Additional Information
- Other online descriptions of features in this Rükl map section:
Ghost craters abound in Mare Fecunditatis
- To explorers and observers of so-called "lunar ghost craters", this part of Mare Fecunditatis (Map 48) is probably the most interesting region to look for them. Antonin Rukl's original map shows an abundance of unnamed (and also of officially lettered) "ghost craters".- DannyCaes DannyCaes Nov 20, 2008
Farman and Kinet near Lindbergh (group of aviators)
- The dedicated Moon-Wiki contributor Danny Caes would like to see two small craters near Lindbergh officially known as Farman (Henri Farman, 1874-1958, Anglo-French pilot, aviator, aircraft designer), and Kinet (Daniel Kinet, 1884-1910, the first victim in the Belgian history of motorized aviation).
