Nomenclature

Ari Abramovich; Soviet space scientist (1905-1980).
  • According to Whitaker (p. 236), this replacement name for a formerly lettered crater was introduced in NASA RP-1097. It was approved by the IAU in 1991 (IAU Transactions XXIA).
  • On page 213 of B.Bussey's and P.Spudis's Clementine Atlas (2004), it (the crater officially known as Sternfeld since 1991) is still labeled as Lodygin G.- DannyCaes Oct 7, 2011
