Frame 31, made by ZOND 8, shows Sternfeld (Lodygin G) about halfway between the frame's central cross and upper left corner (a bit rightward of the imaginary diagonal line running from the central cross toward the upper left corner).

- According to Whitaker (p. 236), this replacement name for a formerly lettered crater was introduced in NASA RP-1097. It was approved by the IAU in 1991 (IAU Transactions XXIA).
