Eliza T. Rima Hesiodus runs nearly vertically through this view, slightly to the left of center. The craters in the lower left are Campanus and Mercator with the shadow-casting Rupes Mercator running to the upper right from it towards the deeply shadowed Cichus. North is to the upper left. Rima Hesiodus has a deeply shadowed section above Rupes Mercator and a fainter extension below it.
