LOIV-072-H3 Vallis Capella is the gouge-like feature running through the central crater (Capella) from upper left to lower right. The crater to the left of Capella is Isidorus.

Nomenclature
- Named after the nearby crater (Capella).
- This feature name was not part of the original IAU nomenclature of Blagg and Müller.
- The feature is depicted, but not named, on Chart B5 of Quad Maps accompanying the System of Lunar Craters.
- The present name was provisionally assigned on LTO-79A4 (October, 1974).
- The on-line IAU Planetary Gazetteer lists an approval date of 1984, but no General Assembly meeting was held in that year, and no record of its approval can be found in the IAU Transactions.
