Planum (plateau or high plain)

Description

A Latin prefix theoretically available for use in forming IAU-approved names for lunar features.

According to IAU Transactions XVIB (p. 330, Items 5 & 6), this name can be considered for use on a case-by-case basis.
In practice it has never been used on the Moon.
