LPOD is only published 7 times a week - perhaps you need a little more lunar imagery and analysis? If so, the Arizona State University Apollo Lunar Archive now provides an image of the week. This is the project that is placing online full resolution scans of the Apollo Metric photographs. They are just finishing Apollo 15 and are starting Apollo 16. The weekly image selected from the scans is always very high quality and is accompanied by a professional geologic interpretation. Good lunar commentary is hard to find - enjoy this new contribution!

I will be at the Lunar & Planetary Science Conference from March 9 through March 15. Rather than reprinting LPOD classics I invite LPOD readers to contribute daily LPODs for March 10 through March 16. Here are the rules: Only one LPOD per person. First one posted online gets the LPOD for that day. LPODs can't be posted before 1 minute into the new day Eastern Standard Time. Images must be comparable in quality to images normally displayed on LPOD. There has to be an informative original text of 150-250 words. The title has to be minimally clever, not just descriptive. You have to post the image on the wiki yourself, so you need to learn how - its easy! I will look forward to checking LPOD every morning to see what exciting new image - and text - is there.
