LO-V-083M Most of Rimae Ritter is visible running diagonally across the center of this Lunar Orbiter image. The bright 18-km crater in the lower left is Dionysius. At the top margin (center) is 3-km Ariadaeus F. Ritter is the 29-km crater partially visible in the extreme lower right corner. Above it, are three lettered craters named, like the rilles, after Ritter: C (14 km), B (14 km, elongated), and D (7 km).

Nomenclature
- Named after nearby crater. (Ritter)
- The original IAU nomenclature of Blagg and Müller included five Roman-numeralled rilles named after Ritter. The modern name Rimae Ritter is probably meant to include most of these.
- Nothing of it (the name Rimae Ritter) on chart 57 in the Times Atlas of the Moon.
