LO-III-133H The other labels are IAU-named features visited by the Apollo 14 astronauts, whose Lunar Module landed between the [/Triplet Triplet] and [/Doublet Doublet] craters.

- Old Nameless is reportedly on the horizon in Hasselblad photo AS14-64-9152 (taken by the Apollo 14 astronauts from about 2.5 km away on the lunar surface).
- It can be seen even more clearly in the detail from the similar AS14-68-9425 reproduced in Figure 11 (p. 15) of Geological Survey Professional Paper 880.

- Based on [/LTVT LTVT] measurements of Lunar Orbiter image LO-III-133M, Old Nameless is 750 m in diam (not counting the extension to the north), and ~85 m deep.

Nomenclature
Astronaut-named feature, [/Apollo%2014%20site Apollo 14 site].
- The [/IAU%20Planetary%20Gazetteer IAU Planetary Gazetteer] gives LAC 76 as the primary map reference for this name, but it does not appear on that map, nor is it labeled on any of the readily available maps (there is no [/LTO LTO] or [/Topophotomap Topophotomap] of the Apollo 14 area, and Old Nameless is too far south to show in the Apollo 14 Site Traverses Chart. The present identification is based on Figure 7 (p. 11) of Geological Survey Professional Paper 880. It is also based on descriptions of it as being 1 km in diameter and about 2.5 km south of the Apollo 14 sampling sites on the flank of [/Cone Cone] crater. [/IAU%20Transactions%20XVIB IAU Transactions XVIB] describes Old Nameless only as a "crater with broken rim." The official IAU diameter is "O km" (a common designation for [/landing%20site%20name landing site names]).
- Old Nameless should not to be confused with Apollo 15's Nameless, which is a small craterlet on The Plain near Rima Hadley.- DannyCaes DannyCaes Dec 26, 2010
