- Shorty (crater) - "Recognizing Richard Brautigan's collection of short stories, Trout Fishing in America, and other books which bring the literature of youth and life from the foundations of Salinger into the present." Nomenclature
- Astronaut-named feature, [/Apollo%2017%20site Apollo 17 site].
- A small crater slightly west-southwest of Shorty seems to have been known as Walden. Three craters north-northwest of Shorty seem to have been called Agassiz, Rogers, and Tasaday.
