LO-IV-144H Rima Artsimovich is very faintly visible at the points highlighted by the arrows.
Note: the triangle shaped cluster of three craterlets near the upper arrow and the hillock below the lower arrow are good "signposts" to try to detect Rima Artsimovich on other orbital photographs, such as those of Apollo 15. See survey below. - DannyCaes DannyCaes Aug 4, 2014

- A High Resolution scan of the Lunar Orbiter IV photograph seen above (LO-IV-144-h3) shows Rima Artsimovich pretty well. In this frame, scroll upward and rightward to detect this rille (it was captured near the frame's upper right corner).
Rima Artsimovich by Apollo 15 (research Danny Caes)
Rima Artsimovich was photographed by all sorts of cameras aboard the SIM-bay of Apollo 15's CSM Endeavour, such as the panoramic ITEK camera:
- AS15-P-10302 and its stereo companion AS15-P-10307
A survey of Apollo 15's metric (mapping) Fairchild camera photographs which show Rima Artsimovich.
- Perhaps the most interesting one of the Fairchild frames is AS15-M-1849 which shows Rima Artsimovich during local sunrise circumstances (morning terminator). In this frame it was captured near the upper right corner.
- Vertical looking Fairchild frame AS15-M-2741 shows Rima Artsimovich near the central part of the left margin.
- Oblique southward looking Fairchild frame AS15-M-2603 shows Rima Artsimovich near the central part of the right margin.

Nomenclature
- Named from nearby crater [/Artsimovich Artsimovich]
- Number 58 in Debra Hurwitz's Atlas and Catalog of Sinuous Rilles.
- The name Rima Artsimovich is included among those which the IAU "approved as assigned" in 1985 ([/IAU%20Transactions%20XIXB IAU Transactions XIXB]). However, on LTO-39B4 (March 1974) the southern part of this feature was actually given the provisional name Rima Gluck (after the composer of that name) -- a name that was never approved -- and the entire feature, although faintly shown, was not labeled at all on LM-39 (November 1979). So the reference to the usage that was being approved in 1985 is unclear. - JimMosher JimMosher
