Nomenclature

  • Heike Kamerlingh Onnes; Dutch physicist; Nobel laureate (1853-1926). His main research was in the atomic theory of matter, and in 1908 he was the first to produce a liquid helium state, which, for his research, led him attaining the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1913. Photo below is of Heike Kammerlingh-Onnes.
