Additional Information

Nomenclature

Anania Shirakatsi (610–685) was an Armenian scholar, mathematician, and geographer. His most famous works are Geography Guide, and Cosmography. His greatest claim to fame was the fact that the Earth was round, and that there was more to the heavens and world then the standard Aristotelian belief purported at the time.
