Geological Lunar Researches Group (GLR)

(glossary entry)

Description

A loosely-affiliated group of amateur lunar scientists, organized by Raffaello Lena
and Piergiovanni Salimbeni in 1997. A major focus of the group is the study of lunar domes.

Additional Information

  • The GLR had a website whose domain name expired. Most of the old content seems to have been archived here (a URL that seems to work only intermittently). Some of the former content can also probably be found on the WayBack Machine of the Internet Archive.
  • The GLR also publishes a peer-reviewed on-line journal called Selenology Today. This appears to be the current group website, and includes links to the GLR's old and new lunar dome catalogs.
