- Ernst; Austrian physicist, philosopher (1838-1916).
- The somewhat crater-shaped "appendage" at Mach's northeastern section was once called Magnitsky (N° 470 on this section of the Second Complete Moon Map - 1969 by the Shternberg Astronomy Institute). Research: Danny Caes.
