This page is a "playground" to try out certain functions of Wikispaces. Sometimes there's a mysterious "bug" whenever a piece of text with clickable links is incorporated into an already existing page.
One of the most recent "bugs" is the impossibility to turn a common blue-colored link into a BOLD representation. Instead, four small stars appear as two couples before and after the blue-colored word, while the word itself stays "common".
Another "bug" is the impossibility to turn a word or sentence into a blue-colored link.
Let's see what the "playground" says...

The first test subject is the new page Boot Hill (introduced by John Moore) (thanks John!).

The experiment...
1.
Page Boot Hill (common link) (looks okay).
2.
Page [['https://the-moon.wikispaces.com/Boot+Hill'|Boot Hill]] (BOLD link) (not possible to hide the "https", everything is still visible... but... as BOLD).
3.
Page **Boot Hill** (first as a common link, trying to make it BOLD afterwards) (seems to look okay before "Save") (will it stay that way after "Save"?) (no it isn't, those silly four stars appear as two couples before and after Boot Hill, and the whole thing turns to "common"... no sign of BOLD...).

I'm not used to the Visual Editor option that you're using to make changes, but the WikiText Editor works though (choose from little arrow at right of SAVE above to change to that mode), which allows more options, but it too can be fiddly.

Boot Hill ............normal (to change this normal format to bold, you highlight the entire lot between the square brackets in the WikiText Editor mode, and simply hit the B button).

Boot Hill .........bold

Boot Hill .......italic=

Thanks John!
