Description

One of 18 different categories of lunar features recognized in the current system of [/IAU%20nomenclature IAU nomenclature]. The word means "ocean" in Latin.

Additional Information

There is only one officially-named Oceanus in the entire solar system: the Moon's [/Oceanus%20Procellarum Oceanus Procellarum].
