Cinco (Apollo 16 site craterlet name)

Apollo 16 Site Traverses Chart The name refers to a cluster of five craterlets, not just the one labeled. These five were called Cinco a, b, c, d, and e. The largest of them (Cinco a) is the most northern one of the five. See labeled photograph in section Additional Information below.

Nomenclature

Astronaut-named feature, Apollo 16 site.
Cinco is the Spanish word for 5 (five). There are five craterlets in the cluster called Cinco.
A small bowl-shaped crater further upward (southward) on the slope of Stone Mountain was unofficially called Crown (see page 222 in David M. Harland's Exploring the Moon; the Apollo expeditions (Springer, 1999).
