Description

This lunar observing program is currently available only to members of The Astronomical League - join HERE. The program is organised into three areas of practical observation that an individual must view features on the Moon through different modes of viewing:

  • (A) Naked-Eye Viewing - Conduct 18 general-view observations of the Moon using just your eyes.
  • (B) Binocular Viewing - Observe 46 lunar features through means of a simple set of binoculars (e.g. ~ 7 x 35 mm).
  • (C) Telescopic Viewing - Observe 36 lunar features using a telescope.

When all 100 observations are logged in, and sent off to the League, the individual will then be awarded a Certificate and an Award Pin Image of Pin. More about the terms and conditions HERE, and a printable version (PDF) of the 100 features can be found HERE.- JohnMoore2 JohnMoore2
