Additional Information

  • Depth data from Kurt Fisher database
    • Westfall, 2000: 5.76 km
    • Cherrington, 1969: 3.41 km
  • Satellite crater Schomberger A (at bottom of image above) is radar bright at 70 cm.
  • As measured by LTVT, the shadows in LO-IV-094H correspond to height differences of up to 5,440 m (in the NE). - Jim Mosher
  • Satellite crater Schomberger A is on the ALPO list of bright ray craters and is mapped as Copernican by the USGS..
  • Satellite crater Schomberger A is on the ALPO list of banded craters
  • Schomberger A seems to be a steep-walled crater, according to LPOD Van Gogh Moon.
  • A giant boulder (or something which seems to be, or looks like, a giant boulder) with diameter of more than 300 meters is located between Schomberger and Schomberger A, at LON: 25.15, LAT: -78.12. See the Orthographic (South Pole) Map of the LRO's online ACT-REACT Quick Map. - DannyCaes Jul 16, 2011
