Riemann

Additional Information

Nomenclature

  • Georg Friedrich Bernhard; German mathematician (1826-1866).
  • Name given by Arthur and Whitaker in Rectified Lunar Atlas (1963) and approved by the IAU in 1964 (Whitaker, 1999, p234).
  • See also the page Rynin for the odd Riemann / Rynin case, which is a typical example of selenologist's confusion.- DannyCaes Feb 15, 2014
  • Near Riemann and the moon's limb was Wilkins and Moore's Paluzie, but the IAU did not accept that name.
