Something to investigate:
Although this has nothing to do with Bernhard Hildebrandt Dawson and/or the farside crater officially known as Dawson, it would be very interesting to try to find something about a certain Dr. W. Bell Dawson who's mentioned in the article The Bright Object near the Sun (Nature, 1921) on page 520 of Mysterious Universe, a handbook of astronomical anomalies (William R. Corliss, The Sourcebook Project, 1979). In this article, Dr. W. Bell Dawson wrote about his observation from somewhere in Ottawa, Canada. According to the online Canadian Encyclopedia there was indeed a certain William Bell Dawson (1854-1944); surveyor, engineer, civil servant. - DannyCaes Apr 11, 2015
