LO-IV-169H The catena connects the upper crater (Krafft) with the lower one (Cardanus). The light colored albedo feature in the mare to its right is part of the same system as Reiner Gamma.

Additional Information

  • This feature was identified as "Rima Krafft" in the System of Lunar Craters maps, and although that name was not formally announced in the IAU Transactions of 1964, it was presumably accepted as part of the general endorsement by the IAU of the nomenclature revisions being undertaken by the LPL.
