Overview

Since the mid-1980s the Space Studies Department at the University of North Dakota has offered an undergraduate minor and a MS degree in Space Studies. This is an interdisciplinary program with courses in space science, policy, history and commerce. More than 300 students have graduated from the MS program and went on to doctoral programs and space related positions in government, business and the military. There is a strong planetary science component - asteroids especially - but little on the Moon specifically. The space policy and business courses are helpful for anyone wanting to work in the space world. Most students enroll for the online version of the MS program.
