  • A fresh high-albedo raycraterlet immedialety east of Stein (at exactly 7°50' North/ 177°15' West) was photographed by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (as a magnificent Close Up!). See LPOD Lunar Poppy. It (this remarkable bright raycraterlet and its ejectablanket) is also noticeable on page 136 (LAC 68) in the Clementine Atlas of the Moon. - DannyCaes May 18, 2010
  • According to David Woods and his colleagues, of the Apollo 11 Flight Journal, Apollo 11's orbital Hasselblad frame AS11-43-6396 should show satellite craters Stein K and Stein L.

LROC Articles

Thick and Sticky Melt-Rock (small unnamed craterlet immediately southeast of Stein M, south of Stein itself) (this small craterlet is almost invisible on page 137 of the Clementine Atlas of the Moon, revised and updated edition).
