- AS17-162-24104 is one of the orbital photographs which was made with a NIKON camera (35 mm), this during the last Apollo mission in december 1972. It shows Sniadecki in the foreground, and the much larger crater Sniadecki Q immediately "behind" it (part of the shadow on its inner slopes show some photographic blemishes). Between Sniadecki Q and the curved lunar horizon is Orlov. Looking southwest. Compare this photograph with the LAC 104 and LAC 105 maps in the Clementine atlas. Research: Danny Caes
- Frame 49, made by ZOND 8, shows the pronounced crater Sniadecki immediately south ("right") of the somewhat flat dark region called Lacus Oblivionis (rightward of the frame's central cross). Research: Danny Caes
