LO-IV-172H All but a part of the east rim of Piazzi is visible (to the right of center) in this [/Lunar%20Orbiter Lunar Orbiter] view showing the intricate overlay of ejecta from nearby [/Mare%20Orientale Mare Orientale]. In the upper left, the broad, faint arc of the southeast rim of [/Legendre Legendre] can be vaguely seen. And near the south rim of Piazzi, the 20-km crater with the central peaks is Piazzi P. Several smaller [/satellite%20feature lettered craters] associated with Piazzi and [/Legendre Legendre] can also be seen.

([/IAU%20Directions IAU Directions]) PIAZZI.--A walled-plain, about 90 miles in length, some distance S.W. of [/Vieta Vieta], with a complex broken border, including several depressions on the N.E., rising to about 7,000 feet above a rather dark interior, on which there is a prominent central mountain.
