Description

This NASA special publication, illustrated with some of the most striking lunar photographs returned by the nine [/Apollo%20Program Apollo] manned missions to the Moon, attempts to provide a comprehensive and understandable account of the major scientific conclusions reached from that program. In addition to the photos and the discussion of their geological implications, it includes detailed descriptions of the Apollo cameras themselves, how maps were produced from the photos, and a concise list of all other lunar missions (successful and unsuccessful) through the date of publication.
