Description

This two-sheet map (in two versions, contours and color-coding topo), with contours derived by stereo mapping of Earth-based photos, is available on the LPI website. The map is particularly valuable for providing a view of the IAU lunar nomenclature prior to most of the many changes that began to be made in the early 1960's. The Feature Names list is essentially a tabulation of original IAU Nomenclature giving the feature numbers in Blagg and Müller, and in Blagg's earlier Collated List. But be aware that there are a small number of errors in the list.
